Brownie Cookie Recipe

This delicious brownie cookie recipe is the perfect combination of two classic desserts. The cookies are soft and chewy on the inside, with a slightly crisp exterior. They are packed with chocolate chips and walnuts for a delicious treat.


  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and egg and mix until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
  7. Drop the dough by rounded tablespoons onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are still slightly soft.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
