  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

  5. Drop the dough by rounded tablespoons onto the prepared baking sheets, about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
  6. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
