Crispy Sticky Tofu
This Crispy Sticky Tofu is a delicious vegan dish that is easy to make and full of flavor. The tofu is marinated in a sweet and savory sauce, then fried until it is golden and crispy. Serve with steamed rice and vegetables for a complete meal.
– 1 block of extra-firm tofu
– 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
– 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar
– 2 tablespoons of honey
– 2 tablespoons of sesame oil
– 2 cloves of garlic, minced
– 1 teaspoon of grated ginger
– 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
– 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
1. Drain the tofu and press it between two plates for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture.
2. Cut the tofu into cubes and place them in a shallow dish.
3. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
4. Pour the marinade over the tofu and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
5. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
6. Place the cornstarch in a shallow dish and coat the tofu cubes in the cornstarch.
7. Place the tofu cubes in the hot oil and fry for 3-4 minutes, flipping them occasionally, until they are golden and crispy.
8. Serve the Crispy Sticky Tofu with steamed rice and vegetables.
