Savory French Onion Chicken Bake

Ingredients:

– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

– 2 tablespoons olive oil

– 2 tablespoons butter

– 2 large onions, thinly sliced

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

– 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

– 1 teaspoon dried thyme
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
– 1/2 cup dry white wine
– 1/2 cup chicken broth
– 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
– 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

3. Add flour, thyme, salt, and pepper and cook for 1 minute.

4. Add wine and chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 5 minutes.

5. Place chicken breasts in a 9×13-inch baking dish. Pour onion mixture over chicken.

6. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese over the top.

7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and cheese is melted and bubbly.

8. Serve hot. Enjoy!
