Mexican Ground Beef Skillet: Delicious and Nutritious Recipes for the Whole Family
Mexican Ground Beef Skillet
Ingredients:
-1 lb. lean ground beef
-1 small onion, diced
-1 red bell pepper, diced
-1 jalapeno, diced
-1 teaspoon garlic powder
-1 teaspoon chili powder
-1 teaspoon cumin
-1 teaspoon smoked paprika
-1/2 teaspoon oregano
-1/2 teaspoon salt
-1/4 teaspoon black pepper
-1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
-1 (15 oz) can black beans, drained and rinsed
-1/2 cup frozen corn
-1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
-1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
Instructions:
1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
2. Add the onion, bell pepper, and jalapeno and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
3. Add the garlic powder, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, oregano, salt, and black pepper and stir to combine.
4. Add the diced tomatoes, black beans, and frozen corn and stir to combine.
5. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
6. Sprinkle the cheese over the top and cover the skillet with a lid. Allow the cheese to melt, about 5 minutes.
7. Serve the Mexican ground beef skillet with fresh cilantro. Enjoy!
