This Teriyaki Chicken recipe is a delicious and easy way to make a classic Japanese dish. The sweet and savory teriyaki sauce is the perfect complement to the juicy chicken. Serve with steamed rice and vegetables for a complete meal.


  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil


  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic. Set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and water. Set aside.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
  4. Add the soy sauce mixture to the skillet and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Stir in the cornstarch mixture and cook for 1 minute, or until the sauce has thickened.
  6. Serve the chicken with the teriyaki sauce.
