Grandma’s Apple Pie

Ingredients:

– 2 9-inch unbaked pie crusts

– 6 cups peeled and sliced apples

– 1/2 cup white sugar

– 1/2 cup packed brown sugar

– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

– 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

– 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

– 2 tablespoons butter

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

2. Place one of the pie crusts in a 9-inch pie plate.

3. In a large bowl, combine the apples, white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and flour. Mix until the apples are evenly coated.

4. Pour the apple mixture into the pie crust. Dot with butter.

5. Place the second pie crust on top of the apple mixture. Crimp the edges of the crusts together to seal.

6. Cut several slits in the top of the crust to allow steam to escape.

7. Bake in preheated oven for 40 to 50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.

8. Allow to cool before serving. Enjoy!
