Garlic Paneer Recipe

– 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
– 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
– 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
– 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
– 1 teaspoon red chili powder
– 1 teaspoon garam masala
– 1 onion, finely chopped
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
– 1 green chili, finely chopped
– 1 tomato, finely chopped
– 1/2 cup water
– 1/2 teaspoon sugar
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
– 1/2 cup heavy cream
– 1/2 pound paneer, cubed
– 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro


1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
2. Add the cumin and mustard seeds and cook until they begin to sizzle.
3. Add the turmeric, red chili powder, and garam masala and stir to combine.
4. Add the onion, garlic, ginger, and green chili and cook until the onion is softened, about 5 minutes.
5. Add the tomato and cook until it is softened, about 3 minutes.
6. Add the water, sugar, salt, and black pepper and stir to combine.
7. Add the cream and stir to combine.
8. Add the paneer and cook until heated through, about 5 minutes.
9. Garnish with cilantro and serve with steamed rice or naan.
