“Creamy Tomato Soup: A Quick and Easy Homemade Recipe”


– 2 tablespoons olive oil

– 1 onion, diced

– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 2 (14.5 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
– 2 cups vegetable broth
– 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
– 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
– 1/4 teaspoon sugar
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 1/2 cup heavy cream


1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

2. Add the diced tomatoes, vegetable broth, oregano, basil, sugar, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.

3. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Puree the soup using an immersion blender or transfer to a blender and blend until smooth.

4. Return the soup to the pot and stir in the heavy cream. Heat until warmed through.
