Cream of Chicken Soup

This creamy and comforting soup is a classic favorite. It’s easy to make and can be served as a main course or as a side dish. The combination of chicken, vegetables, and cream makes for a delicious and satisfying meal.


– 2 tablespoons butter
– 1 onion, diced
– 2 carrots, diced
– 2 celery stalks, diced
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
– 4 cups chicken broth
– 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
– 1/2 cup heavy cream
– Salt and pepper, to taste


1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
2. Add the onion, carrots, celery, and garlic and cook until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.
3. Add the flour and stir to combine.
4. Slowly add the chicken broth, stirring constantly.
5. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
6. Add the chicken and cream and stir to combine.
7. Simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
8. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
9. Serve hot.
