Caramel Crumb Bars

These Caramel Crumb Bars are a delicious and easy-to-make dessert. The combination of a buttery crumb crust and a creamy caramel topping makes for a decadent treat that is sure to please.


– 1/2 cup butter, melted
– 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
– 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
– 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
– 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
– 2 tablespoons butter
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
2. In a medium bowl, mix together melted butter, 1/2 cup brown sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in walnuts. Press mixture into the prepared pan.
3. Bake for 15 minutes in the preheated oven.
4. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, mix together sweetened condensed milk, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 2 tablespoons butter, and vanilla extract. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour over the crust.
5. Bake for an additional 20 minutes in the preheated oven. Cool before cutting into bars.
