Apple Pie Snickerdoodles

These Apple Pie Snickerdoodles are a delicious twist on the classic snickerdoodle cookie. The combination of cinnamon, nutmeg, and apple pie filling make these cookies a perfect fall treat.


– 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
– 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
– 1 teaspoon baking soda
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1 cup butter, softened
– 1 1/2 cups white sugar
– 2 eggs
– 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
– 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
– 1 can apple pie filling


1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time.
4. Gradually stir in the flour mixture until just blended.
5. In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon and nutmeg.
6. Roll the dough into 1 1/2 inch balls and roll in the cinnamon and nutmeg mixture.
7. Place the balls on an ungreased cookie sheet and press down slightly.
8. Place a teaspoon of apple pie filling in the center of each cookie.
9. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are lightly browned.
